The garden kitchen and co-op renovations are done and we’re opening again! To celebrate the co-op is hosting a morning tea on Sunday 6th September and Garden Tucker is on again September 7th!
If you’d like to come please send me a PM or reply to this post as we need to comply with covid numbers.
Garden Tucker will be on again the first Monday of the month from now on. If you miss out on this one, you can get in on another 😊Note: The new deadline for booking is Friday 4th September! ... See MoreSee Less

It’s like Christmas around here! We’ve gotten our bee equipment and we can’t wait to get stuck into building hives and catching some swarms come spring. I have a feeling it’s going to be a swarmy season as last year there were hardly any and this year has been wet, so hopefully lots of nectar flowing and therefore swarming once the weather gets warmed up.
If you’d like to get involved assembling hives and learning about bees, we will be getting stuck into hive building on most Mondays and Fridays until mid September at the garden. If you’re keen, please respond to this post or send us a PM to register your interest so we can manage numbers.
Thanks to the local 2A4 grants for making this a reality!! ... See MoreSee Less
I'd love to get involved, most probably some Fridays. I've done some courses with beekeeping but nothing like getting the hands on, as we haven't started keeping any yet. 🙂
That's awesome news! Please let me know if you guys need to borrow a heating element to soften / melt the beeswax sheets onto the wires.
What sort of hives are you building?
