Okines Community Garden

TASDANCE and The COMPOST SQUEEZE
Our latest collaboration with a dance troop (actually our only collaboration thus far with a dance troop). Okines Community Garden is part of an art piece called “Drinking Water”. As water collectors for “Drinking Water” we are squeezing water out of our compost (into a teapot). Come down to the garden over the next 2 weeks and help us collect a good sample of water for the project. The teapot and collection point is under the COMPOST sign.

Today is Claire's last day. She has been with the garden since its inception in 2011 and through her guidance and leadership has helped build one of Tasmania's most awesome community gardens (Ok we may be slightly biased but we do love his garden). She has left us with the gift of a "culture" which she created based on a welcoming, inclusive, creative approach to gardening and community with a fun, fair work ethic to boot. Farewell Claire Boost, we will miss you and your tirelcess capacity to listen, be fair and create fancy frivolity. PS there's a great employment opportunity now available! Contact info@nullokinescommunityhouse.com.au for how to appply, job closes wed 22nd 5pm. ... See MoreSee Less
